Welcome to Hill City Retreat – Ayurveda Wellness ("Hill City Retreat", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing our website, making a reservation, purchasing services, or visiting our premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. General Information

Hill City Retreat provides Ayurvedic wellness experiences, spa treatments, massage therapies, wellness consultations, retreat programs, and related services. All information published on this website is provided for general information purposes only and may be updated without prior notice.

2. Nature of Services

Our services are intended to promote relaxation, wellness, and general well-being. Ayurvedic recommendations and wellness consultations are complementary in nature and should not replace already obtained medical advice unless explicitly advised by the in-house doctor at the Hill City Retreat premises at the time of the consultation.

3. Health Disclosure & Pre-Treatment Consultation

Prior to any treatment, a mandatory consultation is conducted by our wellness professionals. During this consultation, we carefully assess the client’s overall health, allergies, and specific requirements, taking into consideration the appropriate treatment time. Based on this thorough assessment, our professionals will recommend the most suitable and safe treatment plan for you.

For your safety, you agree to disclose any relevant medical information before receiving treatments, including but not limited to:

• Pregnancy
• Cardiovascular conditions
• High or low blood pressure
• Recent surgeries or injuries
• Allergies or sensitivities
• Skin conditions
• Infectious illnesses
• Chronic health conditions

Hill City Retreat reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline any treatment if it is considered unsuitable or potentially unsafe for the guest.

4. Reservations and Appointments

• All appointments are subject to availability.
• Advance reservations are recommended.
• Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment.
• Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment duration without a reduction in charges.

5. Payments

• All prices displayed are in the applicable currency indicated at the time of booking.
• Full or partial prepayment may be required to confirm certain reservations or retreat packages.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where payment cannot be successfully processed.

6. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Unless otherwise stated in a specific package or promotion:

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment may be rescheduled subject to availability.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation charge.
• Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice may result in the full booking amount being forfeited.
• Special offers, retreat packages, gift vouchers, and promotional bookings may have separate cancellation conditions.

7. Gift Vouchers and Promotional Offers

• Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Vouchers must be presented before redemption if requested.
• Expired vouchers may not be accepted.
• Promotions, discounts, and special offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

8. Guest Conduct

To maintain a peaceful wellness environment, guests agree to:

• Treat staff and other guests with courtesy and respect.
• Follow reasonable instructions provided by staff.
• Refrain from disruptive, abusive, inappropriate, or unlawful behavior.

Hill City Retreat reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest whose conduct negatively impacts the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of others.

9. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hill City Retreat shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.

10. Website Use

You agree not to:

• Use the website for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or data.
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit website content without prior written consent.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the website.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, logos, graphics, designs, videos, trademarks, and branding elements, is the property of Hill City Retreat or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, or distributed without prior written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Guests participate in treatments, wellness programs, and retreat activities at their own discretion and responsibility.
• Results from wellness treatments may vary from person to person.

14. Photography and Marketing

From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken within public areas of the retreat for promotional purposes. No identifiable images of guests will be used for marketing purposes without their prior consent.

15. Force Majeure

Hill City Retreat shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or inability to perform services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power failures, public health emergencies, government restrictions, labor disputes, or other force majeure events.

16. Changes to Services and Terms

We reserve the right to modify: Services and treatment offerings, Prices, Operating hours, Website content, and these Terms & Conditions. Any changes become effective upon publication on this website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

At Hill City Retreat – Ayurveda Wellness, your health, safety, and comfort are our highest priorities. We have implemented strict health and hygiene protocols to ensure a secure and deeply relaxing environment for all our guests.

1. Pre-Treatment Health Screening

• Mandatory Consultations: Every guest will undergo a brief health consultation with our wellness professionals before any treatment. This ensures therapies are tailored to your current health status, allergies, and comfort level.
• Vital Checks: Depending on the requested treatment, we may check vital signs such as blood pressure to ensure the body is ready for specific Ayurvedic therapies.

2. Hygiene and Sanitation Standards

• Sterilized Equipment: All non-disposable treatment tools are thoroughly sanitized and sterilized between each guest.
• Fresh Linens: Fresh, professionally laundered towels, robes, and bed linens are provided for every single treatment.
• Facility Cleaning: High-touch areas, restrooms, changing rooms, and therapy rooms are continuously sanitized throughout the day using hospital-grade, eco-friendly disinfectants.

3. Therapist and Staff Protocols

• Professional Training: All our therapists are certified and trained in authentic Ayurvedic practices as well as modern health and safety standards.
• Staff Health: Our staff undergoes regular health checks. Any team member feeling unwell is strictly prohibited from entering the premises.
• Hand Hygiene: Therapists strictly follow hand-washing and sanitization protocols before, during, and after every treatment.

4. Product Safety

• Authentic Ingredients: We use only premium, authentic Ayurvedic oils, herbs, and products. All ingredients are stored under optimal conditions to maintain their efficacy and hygiene.
• Allergy Prevention: All products are cross-checked against your disclosed allergies during the pre-treatment consultation to prevent any adverse skin or systemic reactions.

5. Facility Safety and Environment

• Slip Hazards: Ayurvedic treatments involve oils. We request guests to walk carefully, especially in wet areas or immediately after treatments. Non-slip mats are placed in critical areas.
• Hydration: Herbal teas and purified water are readily available. Guests are highly encouraged to stay hydrated before and after treatments to assist the body's natural detoxification process.
• Emergency Preparedness: First aid kits are available on-site, and our staff is trained in basic emergency response. An on-call medical doctor is available for serious medical emergencies.
